Victoria Carter was born in Devon where she began her artistic journey with a photography degree from Plymouth. After relocating to Wiltshire, she discovered her passion for ceramics.

Inspired by the landscapes of her childhood and her new surroundings, Victoria's creations reflect a blend of past and present environments. Her work is deeply rooted in the tactile qualities of clay and how each movement and mark is carried through to the final piece.

Crafted in the intimate settings of her lounge or attic, her pieces are brought to life using simple, everyday tools such as toothbrushes and cutlery. This unconventional approach, combined with her bold use of colour, results in distinctive and expressive art.
